This coastline is one of 10 priority sites of the national World Wildlife Fund Australia Shorebird Conservation Projects and is a drawcard for avid birdwatchers, as well as crabbers and recreational fishers. The Samphire Coast’s mangroves, sandflats and mudflats play host to over 60,000 migratory shorebirds each year. Stansbury 205 kilometres from Adelaide map reference E10 The gentle, sheltered Oyster Bay draws swimmers, water-skiers and windsurfers, while boat anglers can get out to deeper water any time. Black swans grace the southern reaches of the town’s beach and an excellent walking trail, with diverse attractions, connects all points. The Mills Gully picnic spot comes complete with gulf vistas. The oyster farms supply fresh local oysters straight from the sea so keep your eye out for the signs.
