If you love Blue Swimmer crabs, then this is the place to be. The crabs are a delicacy and can easily be caught and enjoyed in the warmer months using nets from the jetty or by raking the shallows at low tide. The jetty is a hive of activity with anglers casting lines for tommies, mullet, garfish, crabs and squid, just to name a few. See a piece of South Australian history at the local museum. The historic Stump Jump Plough made it possible to farm the world’s finest barley nearby. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic cliff top trail from Ardrossan to Tiddy Widdy Beach. With great views of Gulf St Vincent and plenty of birdlife, this easy three kilometre trail is both cycle and wheelchair friendly and forms part of the Walk the Yorke trail. Wander down the jetty at sunrise to see the cliffs' amazing display of colour. The lookout at the local mine offers a bird’s-eye view of the area and right across to Adelaide. Or enjoy a round of golf at the local course. You'll find a variety of accommodation from caravan parks to hotels and holiday homes. This busy town is perfect for a relaxing holiday.
